A BRIEF HISTORY

The present facilities of Tranquility Adventist School (TAS) are located in Green Township along Highway 517 adjacent to Tranquility Seventh-day Adventist Church. TAS is also located next to Garden State Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist secondary school. The school was originally named Northwest Christian SDA Elementary School and classes were held in a renovated barn several hundred yards northwest of its current location. The building that now houses the school was opened in 1974.
